"Not Your Average Jerk" Chicken Wings

I do not know about you... but I love Chicken Wings! These wings I made tonight turned out so delicious that I decided to share this recipe.

I used the oven and the grill.

First I bought a bottle of Caribbean Jerk marinade, Safeway brand.

I added 2/3 of the marinade to the chicken wings ( this package of wings had 16 wings in it). Reserve the other 3rd of the marinade for later.

After the 3 hours or so of marinading in the fridge. I pulled them out of the fridge and turned my oven on to 450 degrees. I let them set at room temp for about 15 minutes before putting them on cookie sheet along with other 3rd of the marinade reserved from earlier.

Meanwhile I started my charcoal grill. Put the chicken wings in the oven for 15-20 minutes @ 450 then turn down to 350 degrees for another 15 minutes.

By this time my grill was read to go! I pulled the chicken out from the oven and put them on my hot grill. Because the chicken was already warm they seared up fast! I had them on the grill maybe 15 minutes.

Put all your grilled wings back on cookie sheet with the reserved marinade in the oven @ 350 degrees for another 15 to 20 minutes.

Toss all the carmalized marinade all over your wings and put in a dish.. serve imediately!
